Distance: 4.7 miles (round-trip)
Travel Time: 1 - 2 hours
Ride Level: Beginner
Llanhilleth Train Station. The first mile begins on quiet lanes that snake through the neighborhoods of Llanhilleth and Aberbeeg. The second mile moves into a lovely wooded section that runs along a repurposed railroad line that takes you straight up to Six Bells and the monument.
As you approach, you can begin to see the top of the monument poking above the trees on your left. Soon you will find a lovely park for picnics with a heritage centre across the road with restrooms and a cafe. (note: all of which are managed by volunteers!)
The entire route is virtually flat and suitable for cyclists of all ages and skills. The approximate travel time is 1 to 2 hours (which could be longer depending on how much time you spend lingering in the Heritage Centre or just meandering around.)
